Watch out, though! Retriever can wear itself out, continuously giving without receiving anything back. When service leaks into sacrifice, martyrdom sets in. You might recognize it by a subtle (but growing) resentment, a feeling of being taken for granted. Retriever also reminds you to pause to take care of your own needs and ask for what nourishes you.
